Paper Planes

The compass Shatters
The clock lags behind
Ambitions are blurry
She's losing her mind
The shower is cold.
The music is loud.
Emotions are boiling
The word is out.
The air is thickening.
The smell is sweet.
Desperation's on the corner,
putting out for the week
Like a ticking bomb,
the end draws near
Sparks are ignited,
and over-flooded with tears.
Her heart lies on the shelf.
The bidding begins.
One by one, a crowd gathers
Yet no one commits
Starving for attention, she makes a left.
Yielding forgiveness, she turns right.
Loathing acceptance, she picks up the pace.
Her destination isn't far from sight.
A foot from the edge.
A step away from life.
She holds her fate.
She grasps it tight
and takes a lunge forward
into the night.
Hope is a vision, Death is a lie.

Spilled Milk

Split Ends
Cob Webs
Bead Heads
Who Says?
Who?
What? When?
Where?
No one gives a fuck to care
Horror Flicks
Cheap Tricks
Useless Thinking Makes me Sick
Fallen Fortress
Spilled Milk
I Pace the Floor
The Flowers Wilt
Heaven or Hell
Empty or Half-Full
Smoky the Bear told me
Playing with Fire is Uncool
Life or Death
To Love or To Wed
Do You Want Fries With That?
Cut in Line Instead.

Painted Lies

Fate tells lies
Dreams Disguise
Walls fall down
Hopes revise
My thirst is hungry
My eyes are dry
The ignition is running
Yet we still have time
The feet are grounded
The past stands still
The future is anxious
I feel ill
Death walks by; a steady pace
Life goes 'bout a cheating race
My cheeks are burning
feelings are numb
The world I knew is crashing down
What I thought I loved is set ablaze
True passions stand through all the haze
I move a step back to take it in
Colors fade revealing temptation and sin
The two components upon which this world is built
nothing left now but a web of defeat and guilt
I close my eyes
And repaint my life
Refill my heart
Rewind the time
When I awaken I'll be all smiles
For all is masked for just a while.

Untitled

You are the key to the lock
The cop to the robber
The text to a book
The lack of a father
The ink in my pen
The sing to a song
The devil on my shoulder to guide
from right to wrong
The laugher in slaughter
The wind in my hair
A broken heartbeat barely there
You are the gum on my shoe
The itch I can't scratch
Hate filled words you can't take back
The crust on a sandwich
A splinter on my soul
With each day that passes, your presence grows old
Your a forest with no trees
A garden without flowers
An evil villain minus the superpowers
A cut without a band-aid
The hole within my sock
The unsteady sea upon which the boat rocks
Your a dark cloud on a sunny day
That likely chance of unwanted rain
You cause more tension than a rubber-band
That annoying voice I just can't stand
A stain on a shirt
The shampoo in my eyes
The burn of a fire
An unpleasant surprise
You disappoint like a good book turned into a bad movie
I promise you I'm not picky and I'm not choosy
Your like a leaky faucet
You just don't stop
Like a pesty fly I try to swat
You cause more pain than a ten-story fall
An uneven sidewalk upon which you crawl
Your a cold cup of coffee
The cause of the tears that are falling
You run around, no mission, no calling
You think you have a purpose?
Some kinda importance in life?
I'll tell you your purpose
Your nothing more than a disturbance in my eyes

Dear Stranger,

We use to see each other from day to day
We continue to walk by, with little to say.
Oh how we use to know each other
You were my best friend
It was your ignorance that led this relationship to it's end
Masked strangers, Sealed Lips
It hurts to think it has come to this
We us to dance to Fleetwood Mac
Now you sit, strung-out, and fat
Lies, deceit, alcohol
You are the cause to it all

Signed,
Your daughter

The Bitter Taste of Insecurities

Your bitter words leave a bad taste on my thoughts
Such a tainted love you allege
robbed of my freedom
denied the simplicity of trust
you give me no choice
For I can stay here no longer
The key is now mine
I unlock the door
and begin my life
Unchained
happy
Alone

Acid Rain

Words circulate the room.
They bounce from the walls
and fall, surrendering to the floor
Heavy with hatred
Black as the coffee I drink
They take you prisoner
Your attention is mine
Two steps forward,
One step back
You reach out, but your comfort is no longer welcomed here
"Silly girl," he says, "You do not mean that"
Your ignorance infuriates me
Words burn my ears
I hate you.
